The Art of Judith Hall
Judith Hall maintains her working studio on St. Simons Island, a small island off the coast of Georgia. Born in the midwest in Missouri,  she began her formal education in Indiana, moving to Texas and then to New Orleans for a number of years, and finally to Atlanta.  She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, and pursued her degree with a major in psychology and a minor in art at the University of Tennessee.  Electing to follow a career in the field of art, Judith continued her studies with private instruction in Georgia, Florida, and Washington State.

Judith Hall moved to St Simons Island in 1970.  Beginning in 1971, Judith owned and operated Hall Galleries for over a decade on St. Simons Island - a gallery that represented over 50 artists from the area and throughout the United States.

In the early 1980’s, Judith devoted herself exclusively to the demanding and challenging field of intaglio.  Beginning her work in this field with limited experience in the medium, she considers herself basically self-taught in the intricacies of etching and find this medium to be a continuous learning experience.  Now this artist is extending her knowledge of the arts with her exquisitely painted pastels.  Thrilled with the immediacy of the medium after years of working with etchings that require such extensive planning, Judith is now devoting many of her studio hours to learning & mastering pastels.

Her work is included in private & public collections throughout the United States, Canada & Europe.
